Ignorance is never an excuse and racking collapse is avoidable under normal circumstances. It is imperative to ensure that staff are adequately trained to be able to identify and evaluate typical defects present on an installation, and have a reporting and maintenance system in place. Design, quality control, repair and maintenance procedures can be easily implemented to ensure a safe storage system life cycle with minimal risks.
